ORIGINS (the website) is part of Origins (the exhibit) at the Chinese American Museum in downtown Los Angeles.
Inspired by New York-based photojournalist Corky Lee and conceived as a companion-exhibit to the Asian Roots/American Reality: Photographs by Corky Lee exhibit, Picture This! is a 12-week program trained and challenged the students to compose stories of their community. This is a series of black and white photographs created by 12 students from the San Gabriel High School (San Gabriel, CA) in 2008.
Part of the Chinese American Museum’s exhibition called (de)Constructing Chinatown, featured artist Audrey Chan explores different neighborhoods through the use of postcards and multimedia.
