The restaurant here has had a long history of changing identities and names, but always serving similar cuisine – cooked at varying levels of quality – to a similar clientele. Since my childhood, my parents have taken my brothers and me out to eat at this site because of its close proximity to the condo my dad had lived in as a grad student. Though its name and owner has since changed, I still know the restaurant as Ok Cafe, the words always spoken in a distinct Cantonese accent and rhythm. (The food lived up to the name.)
